On July 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 61 new cases of confirmed infections (4 imported cases, 2 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Sichuan province; 57 indigenous cases, 41 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, 14 in Liaoning province and 2 in Jilin province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 10 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 228 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 3.
As of 24:00 on July 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 2,049 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,969 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 80 confirmed cases (including 2 in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on July 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,891 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 78,918 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 339 confirmed cases (including 21 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. 781,406 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 13,935 were still under medical observation.
On July 26, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 44 new asymptomatic cases (including 1 imported case). 3 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 31 cases became confirmed cases (including 1 imported case). As of 24:00 on July 26, 302 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 88 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on July 26, 3,137 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 2,633 in Hong Kong (18 had died and 1,495 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 458 in Taiwan (7 had died and 440 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
