July 26: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On July 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 46 new cases of confirmed infections (11 imported cases, 5 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 3 in Guangdong province, 1 in Tianjin municipality, 1 in Fujian province and 1 in Shandong province; 35 indigenous cases, 22 in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and 13 in Liaoning province), 2 new cases of suspected infections (both were imported cases, 1 in Inner Mongolia and 1 in Shanghai municipality), and no deaths. 19 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 673 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 7.

As of 24:00 on July 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 2,045 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,963 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 82 confirmed cases (including 2 in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on July 25, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,830 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 78,908 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 288 confirmed cases (including 18 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. 779,000 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 11,762 were still under medical observation.

On July 25, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 68 new asymptomatic cases (including 8 imported cases). 10 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 7 imported cases) and 17 cases became confirmed cases (all were indigenous cases). As of 24:00 on July 25, 292 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 91 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on July 25, 3,009 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 2,505 in Hong Kong (18 had died and 1,455 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 458 in Taiwan (7 had died and 440 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
