Hosted by the Shenyang culture, tourism, radio and television bureau and organized by the Shenyang Palace Museum, a launch conference for a raft of exciting cultural and creative products from the city of Shenyang was held on July 18, according to local media reports.
It was held at the Shenyang Palace Museum in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province, also in online form.
Officials said that more than 1,500 products -- many quite delicate and intricate -- were showcased at the event and through online platforms such as v.people.cn, microblog, Douyin and Tencent, attracting around 5.3 million viewers in two hours.
A particularly popular item proved to be a product called the Chocolate of Lu Duan, now being offered for sale at the Shenyang Palace Museum, which comes with a museum map as an extra gift.
Shenyang is a city with a long history and rich culture. Officials said cultural and creative products prototyped on cultural relics of the city help people learn more about Shenyang.
They said that the products are not only practical, but also full of cultural connotations, so the online event was also able to promote the culture contained in the products.
More cultural and creative products will be developed, palace officials added.
