BEIJING -- China's Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) has decided to launch a campaign to promote and supervise the handling of rights protection disputes involving enterprises and individuals in the non-public sector.
According to a circular issued by the SPP, the campaign that will last until February 2021 aims to create the most favorable business environment for strengthening the non-public sector.
The SPP will deal with seven types of cases that have been lodged with prosecuting agencies countrywide via mails, online, hotlines, or on-site reception channels since the beginning of this year.
The cases include applications for reviewing the necessity of custody, accusations of mishandling, criminal appeals, requests for administrative supervision, or state compensation, among others.
Prosecuting agencies will designate special teams or persons to take charge of the campaign, said Xu Xiangchun, a senior prosecutor with the SPP, adding that supervision and rectified opinions shall be granted in accordance with law if related appeals are found to be true.
