Hechi promotes greening to build a civilized city

According to the requirements of the national civilized city evaluation index, Hechi has made full use of resources to create a green environment in its efforts to build a civilized city and improve its ecological grade.

More than 200 public welfare billboards in urban park squares were replaced, more than 270 plant identification plates were installed, and two civilized volunteer service stations were opened to provide civilized counseling, order maintenance, and other voluntary services to the public.

At the beginning of the year, the Hechi garden department planned a 1,600 square meters base in Hechi Nationalities Park. It introduced more than 14 species of 277 well-known camellia varieties from home and abroad, as well as 25 native camellia varieties to enhance the ornamental value.

In the first half of the year, the city has made outdoors arrangements in nine areas including urban parks, traffic islands, main roads, and key administrative agencies. More than 50,000 pots of seasonal flowers were placed and planted.

In the first half of the year, the Hechi garden department completed about 550,000 sq m in weed removal, about 80,000 sq m in lawn trimming, about 1.13 million sq m in hedges trimming, the pruning and shaping of 44,000 trees, as well as the clearing of 250 vehicles worth of dead tree stumps, pile heads, and dry branches in the urban area of the Jinchengjiang district. In addition, water trucks and personnel were used to rotate the watering operations for public green spaces, such as parks, squares, and street greening, for more than 20 shifts according to weather conditions.

The city also strengthened its cleaning work by increasing the frequency of cleaning.
