Baotou attracts 120 key projects worth 83b yuan in H1

Baotou city -- located in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- has continuously improved its level of industrial development and increased investment in its production and supply chain, with a total of 120 investment projects signed in the first half of 2020, according to a report in the Baotou Daily.

Officials said the total investment in the projects amounted to 83 billion yuan ($11.85 billion).

Among them, 39 projects with a total investment of 7.3 billion yuan have begun construction.

From January to May, the city attracted domestic funds from outside the autonomous region totaling 4.85 billion yuan.

Officials said that this year, the city plans a total of 282 industrial investment projects worth over 100 million yuan each, with a total investment of 413.3 billion yuan.

In the first six months, eight rounds of successive projects were made through online platforms, including those made on autonomous region-level and municipal level investment marketing websites.
