July 11: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On July 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 2 new cases of confirmed infections (both were imported cases, 1 in Liaoning province and 1 in Guangdong province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 14 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 533 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.
As of 24:00 on July 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 1,964 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,893 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 71 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 5 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on July 10, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,587 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 78,623 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 330 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and 8 suspected cases. 765,934 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 3,580 were still under medical observation.
On July 10, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 4 new asymptomatic cases (including 3 imported cases). 6 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 3 imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on July 10, 111 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 82 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on July 10, 1,900 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,403 in Hong Kong (7 had died and 1,187 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (45 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 451 in Taiwan (7 had died and 438 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
