Serious cases decreased by 1.

In all, 1,891 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 71 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 5 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on July 9, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,585 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 78,609 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 342 confirmed cases (including 4 cases in serious condition) and 8 suspected cases. 765,615 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 3,796 were still under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on July 9, 1,860 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,365 in Hong Kong (7 had died and 1,167 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (45 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 449 in Taiwan (7 had died and 438 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
