YINCHUAN -- A batch of medical supplies, donated by the government of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and bound for the Indonesian province of West Nusa Tenggara, set off from the regional capital of Yinchuan on June 30.

The supplies, made up of 30,000 disposable medical masks, will be transferred from Beijing to Indonesia as soon as possible to help with the local fight against COVID-19, according to Ningxia's foreign affairs office.

So far, Ningxia has donated anti-pandemic supplies to 11 countries, including the Republic of Korea, Iran, Pakistan, Italy, Japan, Romania, Russia, Morocco, Colombia, Mauritania, and Indonesia.

The year 2020 marks the 70th anniversary of China-Indonesia diplomatic relations. In September 2017, Ningxia established exchange relations with West Nusa Tenggara.
