The 4th Zhongguancun Challenge in Emerging Fields was launched through a video conference in Beijing on June 20.
Fifty-five most needed or demanded technological innovations were released at the meeting.
As one of the four important competitions in the Chinatorch Challenge, the Zhongguancun Emerging Field Challenge openly solicits solutions to specific technological innovation demands.
Enterprises, public institutions, universities, research institutes, social organizations, and natural persons registered in China can enter the Challenge. Besides, foreign advanced technology holders can also sign up for the Challenge through a domestic trustee.
Integrating continuous demand solicitation, rolling release, and implementations, the Challenge focuses on new technologies in emerging fields such as power systems, unmanned systems, smart manufacturing, satellite applications, nuclear and biochemical safety, information technology and safety, new energy and new materials, artificial intelligence and big data.
There are 12 new demand areas this year. It must be ensured that each demand solution entered has a specific user, and each submitter has an application unit.
Those who win awards in the Challenge and meet the requirements of the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee for the application of frontier technology projects will be given priority for evaluation.
Participants who meet related requirements will get financial support, space, publicity and other follow-up services from Zhongguancun.
Over the past three years, the Challenge has attracted over 5,000 colleges, enterprises, and innovative individuals, and facilitated cooperation in more than 60 technological achievements.
