Hechi promotes energy saving and waste classification

The 2020 Energy Conservation Publicity Week and the promotion of household waste classification opened in Siyuan Square, Jiangchengjiang district, Hechi on June 30.

The event aims to promote the concept of and information regarding ecological civilization, green development, energy saving, as well as consumption reduction to the general public, guiding them to form a green and low-carbon life and work style.

As an important part of its energy conservation and consumption reduction efforts, Hechi began to implement household waste classification this year. The goal is to achieve full coverage of household garbage classification in public institutions.

Jinchengjiang district and Yizhou district will build household garbage classification demonstration areas on at least one street respectively, as well as construct at least one community into a demonstration site for the classification of domestic waste.

At the launching ceremony, the leaders who participated in the event presented sorted garbage bins to government departments and neighborhood offices of Jinchengjiang district, while event staff also distributed garbage classification brochures to people on site.
