Local officials said the applet is easy to operate and users can search for rural tourist destinations by classifications of banners and districts.
Currently, a total of 52 rural tourist receptionists are available to choose from on the applet.
Information provided includes the receptionists’ levels of qualification, service facilities and the prices of various goods.
Users can also use the applet to contact the receptionists for reservations and start navigating their destinations.
Additionally, the telephone numbers of cultural and tourism service supervisors in all the districts and banners of Ordos city are provided, to allow tourists to get top advice and to protect their rights.
Officials said that the development of rural tourism is an effective and important means to help fight poverty. It can directly give employment to the impoverished who have the ability to work, or promote economic growth through the purchase of their agricultural products.
