July 1: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 30, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 3 new cases of confirmed infections (all are indigenous cases in Beijing municipality), 2 new cases of suspected infections (both are imported cases in Shanghai municipality), and no deaths. 10 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 703 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.
As of 24:00 on June 30, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 1,918 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,839 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 79 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on June 30, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,534 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 78,479 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 421 confirmed cases (including 7 cases in serious condition) and 8 suspected cases. 762,744 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 6,479 were still under medical observation.
On June 30, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 3 new asymptomatic cases (all are imported cases). 1 asymptomatic case (an indigenous case) was freed from medical observation and 1 (indigenous case) became a confirmed case. As of 24:00 on June 30, 100 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 63 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 30, 1,698 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,205 in Hong Kong (7 had died and 1,107 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (45 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 447 in Taiwan (7 had died and 437 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
