June 30: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 19 new cases of confirmed infections (11 imported cases, 4 in Guangdong province, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 3 in Sichuan province and 1 in Gansu province; 8 indigenous cases, 7 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Shanghai), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai), and no deaths. 9 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 458 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.
As of 24:00 on June 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 1,918 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,830 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 88 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 1 suspected case.
As of 24:00 on June 29, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,531 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 78,469 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 428 confirmed cases (including 7 cases in serious condition) and 7 suspected cases. 762,376 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 6,809 were still under medical observation.
On June 29, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 4 new asymptomatic cases (including 3 imported cases). 4 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 3 imported cases) and 3 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 29, 99 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 60 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 29, 1,696 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,203 in Hong Kong (7 had died and 1,105 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (45 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 447 in Taiwan (7 had died and 435 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
