Beijing reported 11 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, the municipal health commission said.
Pang Xinghuo, deputy director of Beijing's center for disease control and prevention, shared basic information from the cases during a news conference on Friday.
Six of the new cases were male, and five were female. The average age of the patients was 37.
Of these, eight worked in the recent coronavirus hotspot Xinfadi Market in Fengtai district. The remaining cases were found in Haidian, Daxing and Changping districts.
A widespread round of coronavirus testing was carried out across the capital over the past 10 days.
More than 72,000 people working in hospitals managed by the municipality were tested and all were cleared, according to Beijing News.
Chaoyang district will further expand screenings to people working in beauty salons and small clinics, according to People's Daily.
From June 16 to 25, Dongcheng district has collected more than 620,000 testing samples and analyzed more than 500,000, and all are negative so far according to Wang Qingwang, official from the district.
