June 26: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 25, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 13 new cases of confirmed infections (2 imported cases in Shanghai municipality and 11 indigenous cases in Beijing municipality), 3 new cases of suspected infections (all are indigenous cases in Beijing), and no deaths. 6 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 625 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 7.
As of 24:00 on June 25, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,895 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,811 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 84 confirmed cases (including 1 in serious condition) and no suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on June 25, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,462 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 78,439 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 389 confirmed cases (including 8 cases in serious condition) and 10 suspected cases. 760,818 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 8,044 were still under medical observation.
On June 25, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 5 new asymptomatic cases (including 4 imported cases). 4 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all are imported cases) and 1 (indigenous case) became a confirmed case. As of 24:00 on June 25, 97 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 57 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 25, 1,686 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,193 in Hong Kong (7 had died and 1,088 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (45 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 447 in Taiwan (7 had died and 435 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
