To date, more than 45,000 people in Nandan county, Hechi have found employment, including more than 20,000 poor laborers, showing a steady upward trend.
Since the beginning of this year, Nandan county has set up a special group to help villagers find jobs. The group has made full use of government websites, new media and other platforms for effective publicity, publishing more than 5,000 kinds of job information, and providing employment training services, especially pre-job training and skills training for the poor, to improve their labor skills and adaptability.
The county has promoted the resumption of production by issuing employment subsidies and job stabilization subsidies to enterprises, to drive the employment of poor labor. At present, 880,000 yuan ($124,012.45) of employment subsidies and 1.8 million yuan of job stabilization subsidies have been issued, benefiting 6,687 employees. Meanwhile, the county has also reduced and exempted three social insurance premiums for enterprises totaling 6.24 million yuan.
The county has actively helped poor households find suitable jobs in local companies, including 16 leading enterprises engaged in poverty alleviation and 49 poverty alleviation workshops. It has also developed 122 fixed public welfare posts.
Industrial projects also help a lot in employment. At present, 4,611 people are employed in industrial parks, 1,982 people are employed in Baxu Poverty Alleviation Industrial Park and Workshop, and 1,100 people are employed in the Baikuyao (Nandan) Health Tourism Industrial Park.
In addition, Nandan arranged chartered buses to send migrant workers back to work in cities and helped small and medium-sized enterprises and micro-enterprises expand their markets to drive more people, especially the poor, to find jobs and start businesses.
