On June 18, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 32 new cases of confirmed infections (4 imported cases, 3 in Guangdong province and 1 in Gansu province; 28 indigenous cases, 25 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Hebei province and 1 in Liaoning province), 2 new cases of suspected infections (both are indigenous cases in Beijing), and no deaths. 4 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 227 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. There still remained 293 confirmed cases (including 13 cases in serious condition) and 7 suspected cases. 755,832 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 5,856 were still under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on June 18, 1,615 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,124 in Hong Kong (4 had died and 1,072 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 446 in Taiwan (7 had died and 434 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
