In recent years, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has strengthened cultural exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN countries through various cultural events.
According to Gan Lin, director of the Guangxi Cultural and Tourism Department, the region has established and improved cooperation platforms between China and ASEAN countries, focusing on displaying cultural images, performing arts culture, and creative cultural products, which has greatly promoted exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture, animation, and the games industry.
The cultural exchanges and cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN countries have now expanded from traditional art performances to many fields. At present, Guangxi has set up tourism advisory centers in ASEAN countries, such as Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia, to promote Guangxi's cultural tourism. The Guangxi government also established the Hanoi Chinese Cultural Center in Vietnam with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China to promote the region's rich culture.
In addition, Guangxi has issued an overall plan on cultural development to further bolster Guangxi-ASEAN cultural exchanges and industrial cooperation. Enterprises engaged in cultural industries or focused on showcasing traditional Chinese culture will be supported by the government.
