June 14: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 13, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 57 new cases of confirmed infections (19 imported cases, 17 in Guangdong province, 1 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Chongqing municipality; 38 indigenous cases, 36 in Beijing municipality and 2 in Liaoning province), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai), and no deaths. 2 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 542 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. 1 case is in serious condition.
As of 24:00 on June 13, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,827 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,744 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 83 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on June 13, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,132 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 78,369 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 129 confirmed cases (1 case in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. So far, 752,087 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 3,358 are now under medical observation.
On June 13, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 9 new asymptomatic cases (including 6 imported cases). 2 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 1 imported case) and 2 (indigenous cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 13, 103 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 53 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on June 13, 1,597 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,109 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 1,061 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 443 in Taiwan (7 had been dead and 431 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
