Based on its actual conditions, Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county in Hechi has developed more than 5,000 non-fixed village-level public welfare posts to help impoverished people increase their income and be lifted out of poverty.
The development of non-fixed village-level public welfare posts within the county aims to provide local residents with temporary job opportunities in the local areas, as well as achieve the goals of increasing incomes and grassroots public service levels in rural areas.
Co-ordinated by the county-level governments and developed by the township governments, the poverty alleviation posts are non-profit temporary jobs designed to serve rural economic development, basic public services, and people's livelihood improvement, with the main purpose of promoting income increases.
Job types include rescue and disaster relief personnel, temporary caregivers, flood and drought relief liaison personnel, epidemic prevention and control personnel, road maintenance personnel, township and street cleaning staff, village affairs assistants and village-level cleaning staff, policy publicity and security staff, as well as drinking water management patrol staff.
