County leaders promote agricultural products online

Huang Bingfeng, head of Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, Hechi, promoted Huanjiang's specialties to people all over the county through a live stream on June 6.

Huang recommended seven reputed products in the live broadcast for nearly an hour, including pork, beef, and rice.

"The products I recommend today are only a part of the good products in Huanjiang. We welcome tourists to come to Huanjiang to enjoy the beautiful scenery and special products," said Huang.

Tan Shanying, Party secretary of Jiudeng village, Dongxing town, Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, introduced a special duck during the live broadcast, which was raised by impoverished families in Huanjiang.

Most parts of Huanjiang are located in mountainous areas and have a harsh geographical environment. In order to help the impoverished people in the county, Tan organized wealthy people and impoverished households to form breeding cooperatives, distributed local ducklings to 187 impoverished households, as well as taught training and breeding techniques.

In the battle against poverty, Huanjiang combined its own resource advantages to launch traditional characteristic breeding projects for people. The county has made great efforts in industrial development by developing new types of business entities, such as professional cooperatives and family farms.
