In recent years, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has strengthened its cooperation with Guangdong province in education and labor service, making great contributions to Guangxi's poverty alleviation efforts.
Guangxi and Guangdong have shared high-quality educational resources. Over the past few years, Guangdong has invested 574 million yuan ($80.39 million) in poverty alleviation funds in cities and counties across Guangxi. It has built 118 primary schools, secondary schools, and kindergartens, donated a total of 12.02 million yuan in teaching equipment, provided partner assistance to 189 schools, sent 376 teachers to support education in rural areas, as well as trained 1,276 Guangxi teachers.
At the region level, eight cities and 33 impoverished counties in Guangxi have signed agreements with the three levels of human resources and social sector departments in Guangdong, gradually deepening labor cooperation in aspects like employment information sharing at all levels, job supply and demand matching, labor rights protection, employment tracking services, housekeeping labor service brands cultivation, as well as vocational skills training.
In addition, Guangxi has established seven workstations in the Guangxi Labor Service Office in Guangdong, which provide migrant workers in Guangdong with services, such as labor export and rights protection services.
Le Yonghong, deputy director of the Guangxi Department of Human Resources and Social Security, said that in the future, Guangxi will strengthen the coordination of employment at all levels between Guangdong and Guangxi, improve the coordination mechanism, as well as further promote poverty alleviation.
