A total of four Guizhou members of a 10-person Blue Sky Rescue team successfully finished assisting in the control of COVID-19 in Cambodia and returned to Guiyang on May 27.
The team was sent by the China Charity Federation and arrived in Cambodia on April 28. It returned to China on May 13, and eventually got back to Guizhou after a 14-day quarantine in Shanghai.
According to one of the members, Tang Liang, everyone worked over 10 hours per day in 40 C heat, wearing protective clothing and carrying a 30-kilogram atomizing sprayer. Some members almost collapsed after the disinfection process, but no one ever gave up.
The team is China's only non-governmental organized team that offered help in other countries during the COVID-19 outbreak. During the 12 days in Cambodia, the team disinfected a total area of 1.59 million square meters, including hospitals, schools, markets, government buildings, military camps, communities, hotels and stations.

The team traveled over 1,400 kilometers in Cambodia's 10 provinces and cities, an area containing 6 million people, including 54,778 who directly benefited from their contribution.
The team also organized training sessions in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukvile to help hundreds of medical workers, disease control workers, police and community workers to learn about self-protection and get information on disinfection.
