Jiangxi Zhongfu Chemical Materials Technology Co, in Huichang county, Jiangxi province, has offered initial results from its PTFE project, with an expected annual output of 5,000 tons, by producing the first batch of PTFE emulsion on May 25.
After nearly two years of construction and commissioning, the Phase-I project was put into trial production on March 8.
In the next step, the company, which is located at the county's Jiangxi Fluorine Salt Chemical Industrial Base, will focus on product quality and quantity.
In Phase-I, the project should achieve an annual output value of more than 300 million yuan ($41.96 billion), contributing 50 million yuan of taxation. Its completion will lay a solid foundation for extending and strengthening the chain within the fluorine salt chemical industry in Huichang.
The project has the advantages of high scientific and technological content, high added value, excellent performance, strong driving force, and good market prospects.
PTFE is widely used in aerospace, the military industry, automobiles, shipbuilding, ocean engineering, plastic modification, advanced coating, high-performance fabric, medicine, pesticide intermediates, the heavy chemical industry and other fields.
Guangdong Zhongmao Group, which has specialized in basic chemical industries for decades, founded the company in the industrial base in 2017 with a total investment of 700 million yuan.
Huichang and its adjacent areas are rich in high-grade fluorite mineral resources, and have huge reserves of rock salt. Thanks to the natural advantages, the industrial base has aproduction capacity of 100,000 tons of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, 300,000 tons of ionic membrane caustic soda and 200,000 tons of methane chloride.
