The class resumption dates for the lower grades in primary schools and for off-campus training institutions for college entrance exams training in Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, were recently released by the education bureau of the city, according to local officials.
Starting May 25, classes for the second and third grade students in the city are to be resumed after their conditions were assessed and they passed an evaluation conducted according to the Basic Standards for the Opening and Resuming of Regular Primary and Secondary Schools in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
From June 2, classes for first grade students are scheduled to be resume after they met the same standards.
Officials said that starting May 25, the out-of-school training institutions for college entrance exams training should refer to the requirements of the prevention and control standards for primary and secondary schools and apply for and sign safety commitments. They said their education activities can begin after being evaluated by the education departments and the epidemic prevention and control departments.
Institutions that fail assessments are encouraged to cooperate with private schools that have passed assessments to run schools, in order to properly place students preparing for college entrance examinations.
Kindergartens, special education schools and other off-campus training institutions should make preparations for the resumption of class. Officials said the specific dates for school resumption will be announced, according to the specific situation.
