Fengshan county explores new model of community management

Fengshan county in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has explored and formed a new community management model of group governance in the management of poverty-stricken resettlement areas.

Siyuan community in Fengcheng town, Fengshan county is the largest resettlement site for poverty alleviation and relocation in the county, possessing a total of 12,700 people. In order to strengthen management of the community, Fengshan county has set up a community Party committee and arranged 196 Party members to ensure the orderly management of the community.

A neighborhood committee, a union committee, youth committees, and community women's federations were also established to make up a group governance sharing platform. In addition, residents can also participate in community management by running for residence advisor or administrator positions.

The community's grassroots workers, cleaning staff, and public security teams were all selected from impoverished households in the community, greatly increasing their incomes while contributing to the governance, which constantly regulate the management of the resettlement site.
