Intl friendship football event kicks off in Yuexiu

An international friendship football tournament kicked off on May 10 in Jianshe community of Guangzhou's Yuexiu district, gathering around 55 football enthusiasts from home and abroad.

The activity aimed to boost the communication and integration of Chinese and foreign residents, as well as improve community services targeting foreigners.

"The local community will join hands with foreigners living in the community to carry out various kinds of activities for communication spanning economy, trade, and volunteer services to establish a bridge between China and foreign countries," said Luo Dongying, head of the foreigner service station in Jianshe community.
