On May 13, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 3 new cases of confirmed infections (all are indigenous cases, 2 in Liaoning province and 1 in Jilin province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 6 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 387 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.

In all, 1,632 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 60 confirmed cases (including 3 in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases.

So far, 738,262 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 5,291 are now under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on May 13, 1,535 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,050 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 1,008 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (43 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 440 in Taiwan (7 had been dead and 375 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
