A Boeing 737-800 civil airliner of China Southern Airlines landed smoothly at Yulin Fumian Airport on May 8 after completing a successful test flight, foreshadowing the official opening of the airport in the near future.
The flight test operation lasted about three and a half hours. It verified the traditional navigation flight procedures, performance-based navigation flight procedures, minimum operating standards, navigation data of Yulin Fumian Airport, as well as the airport's facilities, equipment, and comprehensive support capability.

Located in Shihe town, Fumian district, Yulin, Yulin Fumian Airport is a branch line airport of domestic civil aviation transportation. The new terminal is designed to meet the needs of 1.5 million passengers by the year 2030 and 392 passengers in peak hours, with a cargo and mail throughput of 5,000 tons.
The airport has constructed a runway with a length of 2,600 meters and a width of 45 meters, a 21,100-square meter terminal, as well as affiliated facilities for fuel supply, power supply, and fire rescue.
The airport will carry out the completion and acceptance of the terminal area, as well as declaration and release of flight information to the higher authority, ensuring that it will be put into operation as soon as possible.
The construction of Yulin Fumian Airport is of great significance to improve the layout of Guangxi's airports. It will undertake basic aviation service functions in southeastern Guangxi and western Guangdong, as well as build a modern comprehensive transportation system in Yulin, promoting the city's economic and social development.
