E-commerce helps poverty alleviation efforts in Hechi

To date, Hechi has put 12 county-level e-commerce public service centers, 13 county-level logistics distribution centers, 783 rural e-commerce service sites, and 753 rural logistics service sites into use. The city's e-commerce coverage rate has reached 81.8 percent, and the rural e-commerce coverage rate has reached 72.7 percent.

By building e-commerce industrial parks and public service platforms, establishing rural service systems, optimizing logistics distribution systems, as well as conducting e-commerce talent training, the city has promoted e-commerce in rural areas, boosting farmers' incomes and helping them overcome poverty.

The city has cultivated 20 kinds of agricultural products specializing on e-commerce platforms, while sales of poverty alleviation products have also increased substantially through e-commerce platforms.

The e-commerce industry in Hechi has served 352,378 impoverished people, provided employment to 3,279 impoverished people, and helped impoverished households sell 15.29 million yuan ($2.15 million) in agricultural products.

Du'an Yao autonomous county has played a leading role in the city with full coverage of e-commerce service stations in the county, townships, and villages. The county has carried out 71 e-commerce training sessions for a total of 3,584 people, of which 848 were impoverished people.
