Fungicides developed by Shandong University to begin mass production in Qingdao

Agricultural fungicides developed by the State Key Laboratory of Microbial Technology, Shandong University will begin mass production in Qingdao Oceantec Valley after a successful production trial.

The production will be jointly promoted by the Qingdao Campus of Shandong University and the Jimo City Construction Development Co. When put into operation, it will be able to produce 20,000 tons of various agricultural biological fungicides per year worth 500 million yuan ($70.67 million).

This is the first time that research findings by Shandong University have been mass-produced by Jimo district since it opened a branch campus in the area in 2016.

The Qingdao Oceantec Valley is a high-tech zone located in Jimo district focusing on the development of marine science.
