On May 10, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 17 new cases of confirmed infections (7 imported cases in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 10 indigenous cases, 5 in Hubei province, 3 in Jilin province, 1 in Liaoning province and 1 in Heilongjiang province), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 24 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 678 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 4.

There still remained 141 confirmed cases (including 9 in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. So far, 737,127 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 5,501 are now under medical observation.

As of 24:00 on May 10, 1,532 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,047 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 982 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (41 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 440 in Taiwan (6 had been dead and 366 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
