The Indonesian subsidiary of SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), a major Chinese automobile manufacturer of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, donated the first batch of 100,000 self-made masks to the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) on April 22 to help fight the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic.
"We are very grateful for SGMW's assistance and hope that this action will inspire more people to participate in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic in Indonesia," said Ibnu Asur, director of logistics and equipment network optimization of BNPB.
As the largest Chinese-funded vehicle manufacturing company in Indonesia, the Indonesian subsidiary of SGMW has dispatched batches of anti-COVID-19 epidemic materials in Indonesia to provide strong support for overseas COVID-19 epidemic prevention efforts.
In addition to masks, the company has also donated 1,000 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the headquarters of the Indonesian Medical Association.
