Zhongguancun holds intellectual property promotion and high-value patent transformation activity

The Zhongguancun Administrative Committee and the Municipal Intellectual Property Office held a Zhongguancun Intellectual Property Promotion and High-Value Patent Transformation Activity on April 26.

With the theme of "Promoting the Transformation and Operation of High-Value Patents", a high-value patent transformation and promotion activity and a high-value patent roadshow were conducted through an online live broadcast.

During the first phase of the activity, policy measures for cultivating high-value patents and transformation models were introduced; while during the second phase of the activity, a high-value patent roadshow was held.

The eight patents participating in the roadshow are all high-value patents in the medical device industry, including an intracranial pressure detection system for long-term storage with reduced infection risk, a real-time intelligence surgical robot for tumor treatment, a cerebral microcirculation physiological parameter measurement method, a real-time parallel CT reconstruction system and imaging method, a vein ablation needle, and an intelligent planning system for vascular interventional operations combining intelligent diagnosis, preoperative planning, postoperative prediction and risk assessment.

Ten innovative intellectual property operation products including an IP Hunter platform that gathers high-quality global intellectual property resources, a quantitative analysis and dynamic monitoring platform for scientific and technological innovations, and a "full cycle and one-stop" intellectual property rights protection platform were promoted during the activity.

These products provide full-chain services including intellectual property mining, evaluation, operation, transformation, and rights protection and adopt the "intelligent +" service model that combines technological innovation and intellectual property service innovation.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee has screened out over 400 high-value patents related to epidemic prevention and control, and released the first batch of 50 highly transformable and promising patents through social organizations, incubators, and key sub-parks.

Besides, four online high-value patent transformation roadshows have been held, 29 patents have been exhibited, and more than 10 patents may soon be invested.

Next, the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee will take the following measures to promote the transformation and use of patents: first, it will formulate support measures on intellectual property mining, evaluation, operation, transformation, and rights protection.

Second, it will help enterprises to improve patent mining, layout and financing capabilities through intellectual property strategy formulation, patent navigation, patent asset evaluation and patent due diligence.

Third, it will cultivate high-level intellectual property operation platforms, establish high-value patent evaluation standards, and carry out high-value patent mining, storage, operation and transformation.

Fourth, it will ask intellectual property institutions and financial institutions to establish a risk and benefit sharing mechanism and carry out intellectual property evaluation, management, operation, and risk disposal.

Fifth, it will promote intellectual property services innovation and issue new business models such as intellectual property securitization and finance leasing; and sixth, it will strengthen intellectual property protection, issue guidelines for preventing legal risks on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and reduce the cost of rights protection.
