Guangzhou Design Week will open on Dec 3 this year at the exhibition hall of the Poly World Trade Center and Guangzhou International Sourcing Center, organizers announced during a press conference on April 27.
Guangzhou Design Week, which was the first international design business event in China, was established in 2006 under the guidance of the Guangzhou municipal people's government.
The event has grown into an international design feast recognized by the International Federation of Interior Architects Designers and promoted globally.
The 2019 event covered a total area of 120,000 square meters, received 316,000 professional views, and gathered more than 1,000 design institutions, as well as upstream and downstream enterprises from over 20 countries.
The exhibition area for this year's event is expected to exceed over 150,000 sq m. He Wenguang, executive director of Guangzhou Design Week, said that Guangzhou will keep devoting efforts in enhancing international communication and cooperation in design, promoting green design to boost sustainable development.
Currently, Guangzhou Design Week has established alliance partners in more than 40 countries around the world and will continue to invite the most representative design products to participate in the event in Guangzhou after the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic has been overcome.
