Inner Mongolia Photonics Technologies Co Ltd (Photonics Technologies) in Ordos – in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- recently successfully joined Huawei's supply chain of enterprises and its products were designated by Huawei as the only qualified products for optical cavity decay, a company spokesman said.
Photonics Technologies, established in 2015 by doctor Wen Binyan, is located in Ordos High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
It aims to develop and produce the world's most advanced ultra-high-sensitivity laser gas detection instrument, which is mainly used for the detection and analysis of trace impurities in various high-purity gases.
Dr Yan Wenbin returned to Ordos from the United States to start his own business in 2011. With the support of the high-tech zone, Photonics Technologies established itself and engaged in product research and development, equity financing and industrialization.
Currently, it has an R&D team of 12 researchers which has developed nine types of products to meet different industrial application scenarios.
Among its top achievements is its high-purity gas analyzer, which broke the long-term monopoly position previously occupied by the United States in this field – providing high-purity gas detection and analysis equipment for chip manufacturers in China. The company spokesman said the product is committed to resolving the bottlenecks in the production of chips.
