LANZHOU - A batch of medical supplies donated by Northwest China's Gansu province has arrived in Minsk, capital of Belarus, to help fight against COVID-19, the Foreign Affairs Office of Gansu Province said on last Wednesday.
The donation includes 3,000 protective suits, 9,600 surgical masks, 2,000 pairs of medical goggles and 75,000 pairs of surgical gloves.
The province also shared its experience in combating the virus with Belarus and provided the country with 13,000 doses of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
Gansu is a major TCM production base in China and boasts a long history of growing TCM herbs.
"Belarus offered selfless assistance to China at a difficult time of the COVID-19 prevention and control," said Zhang Baojun, director of the office. "Now we will do whatever we can to return the favor."
