April 27: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On April 26, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 3 new cases of confirmed infections (1 indigenous case in Heilongjiang province and 2 imported cases), 5 new cases of suspected infections (1 indigenous case in Beijing municipality and 4 imported cases), and no deaths. 80 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 508 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 1.
As of 24:00 on April 26, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,636 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,009 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 627 confirmed cases (including 22 in serious condition) and 7 suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on April 26, the National Health Commission had received reports of 82,830 confirmed cases and 4,633 deaths (increased by 1 by Beijing after verification) in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 77,474 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 723 confirmed cases (including 52 in serious condition) and 10 suspected cases. So far, 730,529 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 8,443 are now under medical observation.
On April 26, Hubei province reported no new cases of confirmed infections, no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 12 patients (all in Wuhan) were released from hospital after being cured.
As of 24:00 on April 26, Hubei had reported 68,128 cases of confirmed infections (including 50,333 in Wuhan) and 4,512 deaths (including 3,869 in Wuhan). In all, 63,616 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital, including 46,464 in Wuhan. There were no confirmed cases and no suspected cases.
On April 26, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 25 new asymptomatic cases (including 1 imported case). 51 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 21 imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on April 26, 974 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 131 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on April 26, 1,511 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,037 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 772 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (31 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 429 in Taiwan (6 had been dead and 281 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
