Fresh graduates from Hubei province who studied in higher-education institutes, vocational and technical schools in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, will be given subsidies for job recruitment and starting up their own business, according to the local human resource authorities on Friday.
Each 2020 graduate from Hubei, the hardest-hit area by COVID-19 in China, will be given an allowance of 2,000 yuan ($282.5) by the end of May, according to the Guangzhou Human Resource and Social Security Bureau on Friday.
An online job fair, organized by the Southern Job Market based in Guangzhou and several Hubei-based universities, has also been held, providing 674 job positions from about 80 companies for fresh graduates from Hubei.
As of Thursday, the local human resource authorities have so far organized 19 chartered trains or buses, helping more than 3,000 migrant workers from Hubei return to their work positions in Guangzhou.
