Shinan cooperates with Qingdao Power Supply Co

A cooperative agreement was signed between the Shinan district government and Qingdao Power Supply Co on April 1, in an effort to improve the business environment and facilitate regional development.

This is the first time that Qingdao Power Supply Co has cooperated with a local district government.

The electricity industry is essential to the livelihood of local residents. The upgrading of power networks plays an essential role in building core functional areas promoting international exchange in the district.

The two sides plan to deepen cooperation in replacing traditional growth drivers with new ones, constructing urban functional areas, and jointly building the city into an international metropolis.

Qingdao Power Supply Co is expected to invest over 107 million yuan ($15.1 million) into the upgrading of power networks in old local communities this year and over 650 million yuan into constructing major power stations in the district between 2021 and 2025.

The district government will offer support in constructing relevant infrastructure. In addition, the district has incorporated the power services into the management of local communities to improve service efficiency.
