Volunteer tree planting activity held in Shinan

A volunteer tree planting activity was held in Shinan district, Qingdao, Shandong province on April 7, in which oriental cherry trees, flowering plum trees, and cedars were planted on Fushan Mountain.

In addition to local government officials, community workers, and ordinary people, 10 medical workers who fought on the frontlines against the novel coronavirus were also invited to participate in the tree planting activity.

A total of 66 oriental cherry trees, which are considered a symbol of happiness and purity, were planted and the oriental cherry forest was named "angel in white".

Evergreen cedars and flowering plum trees were also planted in areas surrounding the oriental cherry forest.

The district plans to continue adhering to the development slogan of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", and accelerate the improvement of the urban environment.
