In order to promote regional consumption and reinvigorate the economy in Shinan district, Qingdao, several online celebrities were invited to give live broadcasts at a shopping mall in Hong Kong Middle Road subdistrict on April 14.
Various industries are returning to normal in the district, as the COVID-19 pandemic subsides in China, while some stores still encounter difficulties. The district thus decided to stimulate consumption through new media.
The live broadcasts will teach people about the safety measures and discounts at various stores, helping alleviate worries and instill confidence.
The event is expected to last for one month and cover many topics, including fashion, furnishing, fitness, catering, DIY, and more.
In addition to a launch ceremony for the event, a meeting was also held that same day to issue the subdistrict's annual plans. It was attended by local government officials and journalists.
The subdistrict plans to promote investment, construct unique landmarks, improve property management, facilitate poverty alleviation, create a more livable environment, and upgrade infrastructure this year.
