A cooperative agreement was signed among the Shinan district government, the Laixi government, and Shenzhen China Stone Industrial Service Co on April 17 to establish a collaborative innovation zone.
Shinan district, covering an area of over 30 square kilometers, is a core area of Qingdao and revolves around the modern service industry, which accounts for over 91 percent of its total economy. It is home to many first-class enterprises, including more than 50 regional headquarters of Fortune Global 500 enterprises.
The district aims to develop collaborative industrial chains mainly related to advanced manufacturing, health, and consumption. Industrial clusters related to these three fields are expected to be formed in the district, and more listed enterprises are expected to be introduced in the next five to eight years.
Laixi is a coastal city under the jurisdiction of Qingdao and has been working to promote its opening-up. It boasts a flourishing advanced manufacturing industry and a favorable environment.
Shenzhen China Stone Industrial Service Co, the third party in the agreement, is the first Chinese company to win the Constantinus International Award issued by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes. It is one of the most professional consulting companies in China.
The three parties will work to turn the innovation zone into a model of collaborative development and contribute to Qingdao's technological innovation and sustainable economic development.
