A seminar aiming to attract top professionals was held on April 16 at Changchun New Area in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province, according to local reports.
Officials said it aimed to support companies in the area moving to hire highly skilled professionals and university graduates, so as to promote innovation and development in the province.
Changchun New Area is a pilot area in Changchun in professional management -- and over the one decade, it has staged 138 recruitment drives and successfully attracted more than 50,000 professionals, who officials said had made a great contribution to the area’s growth.
During the seminar, a national map of professionals and a guide on recruitment policies were launched, providing help to companies in their hiring programs.
An exchange activity between academicians and experts and companies was also held at the event, where company representatives sought advice from experts in big data, medicine, environmental protection, finance, company operations and management and other areas.
Officials said it was held both offline and online, aiming to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism between experts and companies.
During the seminar, around 10 companies -- including Changchun Cedar Electronics, Changchun SinoBiomaterials and Chang Guang Satellite Technology -- showcased their new products, new technologies and their business plans, aiming to seek partnerships with other companies and to attract professionals.
In addition, representatives from companies, universities, research institutes and human resource service institutes exchanged ideas and information at the event, discussing professional introductions and graduate recruitment in areas such as big data, medicine and environmental protection.
