Airshow China

Airshow China, also known as the China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, is a landmark event for the professional aviation community, businesses, governments, and enthusiasts. It is held at Zhuhai Airshow Center near Zhuhai Airport with an area of 1.3 square kilometers.

The biennial exhibition is the only domestic international aerospace trade show endorsed by the central government that features aerobatic flights and dynamic displays of ground military equipment.

The event is jointly sponsored by Guangdong Provincial People’s Government, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, PLA Air Force, Civil Aviation Administration of China, Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, China Aerospace Science & Technology Corporation, China Aerospace Science & Industry Corporation Limited, China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, China South Industries Group Co Ltd, China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, Aero Engine Corporation of China and China Electronics Corporation.

The 12th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition held in 2018 in Zhuhai resulted in deals - including the sale of 240 aircraft - worth more than $21.2 billion. While sales were down from two years ago, international interest was up considerably, especially in military equipment and drones.

A record 770 exhibitors (compared to 700 in 2016) from 43 countries and regions attended the country's largest gathering of aircraft makers and buyers. They signed 569 contracts, agreements, and letters of intent.

The country's top 10 military enterprises displayed a lineup of domestic achievements at the show for the first time. They also highlighted interactions with world-renowned aerospace firms such as Boeing and Airbus.

The event will return in 2020 from Nov 10 to 15 with Zhuhai as the permanent host city.
