China Import and Export Fair

The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was established in 1957. It is a comprehensive international trading event with the longest history, the largest scale, the most complete variety of exhibits, the largest number of buyers, the broadest distribution of buyers’ source countries, and the greatest business turnover in China.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Guangdong Province, and organized by the China Foreign Trade Center, it is held every spring and autumn in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, serving as a platform for Chinese enterprises to explore the international market.

Up to the 125th session that took place from April 15 to May 5, 2019, the accumulated export volume of the Canton Fair has amounted to about $1.38 trillion and the total number of overseas buyers has reached 8.8 million.

The exhibition area of each Canton Fair session spans about 1.185 million square meters, while the average number of exhibitors from home and abroad stands at about 25,000, attracting about 200,000 buyers from more than 210 countries and regions all over the world.
