The Central China Investment and Trade Exposition, also known as Expo Central China, is a national trade expo approved by the State Council.
It is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the State Administration for Market Regulation,the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Federation of Industrial Economics, as well as the six provincial governments of Hunan, Henan, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangxi, and Shanxi.
The event, first held in 2006, has been undertaken in turn by the aforementioned six Central Chinese provinces.
The expo aims to promote industrial transmission, as well as investment and trade, organizing various activities like exhibitions, themed forums, symposiums, and matchmaking fairs. It is a platform for businessmen from both home and abroad to carry out communications and cooperation in the economy and in technology, forming links between the Central China area and the capital and resources of both domestic and overseas markets.
The 11th Central China Expo was held in Nanchang, capital of Jiangxi province, from May 18 to 20, 2019. The exhibition area spanned 70,000 square meters. A total of 406 projects were signed during the expo by six provinces, with the total amount of contracts amounting to 483.51 billion yuan ($68.99 billion).
