Beijing will recognize health status of people commuting from Tianjin municipality and Hebei province to help facilitate travel.
Li Sufang, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, said at a press conference on Saturday that commuters from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei can apply for the health status of "no sign of abnormality" in the app.
Commuters can obtain the status after providing their travel records in the region to the app, which has been used for better epidemic management since early March. Before the new regulation was rolled out, only those staying in Beijing can get the health status of "no sign of abnormality" in the app.
Li also said the regulation allowing no more than 50 percent of the employees of labor-intensive companies to return to jobs will be abandoned, if the companies can guarantee a social distance of at least one meter and every employee has a space of at least 2.5 sq meters.
