China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo

The China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government, is one of the most important platforms for economic and trade cooperation under the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) mechanism.

The first China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo was held in Changsha, Hunan province from June 27 to 29, 2019. With the theme of “Win-Win Cooperation for Closer China-Africa Economic and Trade Partnership,” the expo focuses on key areas including trade and investment promotion, agricultural technology, energy and power, joint industrial parks, infrastructure, as well as financing cooperation.

With multiple activities in a variety of forms attracting thousands of participants, the expo was attended by Chinese and African dignitaries, diplomats, governors, and mayors, as well as representatives from international organizations, financial institutions, chambers of commerce and associations, plus entrepreneurs, buyers, exhibitors, specialists, scholars, and members of the media.
